This rich nurturing body butter contains some fabulous ingredients to help combat some of these visible signs of aging.  Retinol is one of the most highly regarded actives at the moment.  Studies show that it will encourage your skin to product collagen and elastin, something we lose as we age.

The body butter itself is incredibly nourishing and rich yet it sinks into your skin immediately leaving absolutely no greasy residue.

Gently fragranced with our own bespoke blend of essential oils including lavender, rosemary, orange & ylang ylang, it is gentle and easy to apply making it an ideal addition to your skincare routine.  This has a gentle scent from the essential oils, however, its primary role is as a body butter, not a perfumed product. 

Minimum weight is 100g (larger than the previous body butters which were 60g)

How to use:

After your shower or bath, take a small amount of the body butter and gently massage it into your skin using circular motions.  Apply more as required.

Use clean, dry hands to remove the body butter from the jar - never use wet or damp hands.

Sunflower seed oil - used for its fabulous emollient properties which help maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier, thereby helping to combat dryness.  This oil is high in vitamin E, a potent antioxidant that helps protect mature skin from environmental stressors such as pollution.  

Shea butter - renowned for its deep moisturising and skin softening properties.  It is particularly suitable for mature skin because it helps to restore the lipid barrier, which can become compromised during menopause, leading to dryer skin.  Rich in vitamins A and E, Shea butter also provides essential antioxidants that an help combat the signs of aging.

Glyceryl mono stearate - a natural emulsifier derived from glycerin and stearic acid (from plants)

Cocoa butter - a powerful moisturiser that penetrates deep into the skin.  It is particularly beneficial for mature skin as it is rich in fatty acids which help to improve skin elasticity.  It also has natural antioxidant properties which are essential for fighting against the signs of aging skin.

Cetearyl alcohol - a natural thickener derived from coconut oil

Carnauba wax - a natural plant based wax derived from the leaves of the copernicia cerifera plant

Coco glucoside - naturally derived from coconut and fruit sugars, used to help emulsify the oils and water and make the body butter more spreadable

Phenoxyethanol - a preservative to stop bacteria, mould and yeasts from growing in your body butter

Benzoic acid - a naturally derived preservative from fruit and plants which also helps regulate the pH level, ensuring that the body butter is perfectly matched to your skin.

Xantham gum - acts as a thickener to create that lovely luxurious texture in the body butter.  It is naturally derived from fermenting sugar sources.

Dehydroacetic acid - this acts as a preservative and can be naturally or synthetically derived, although as a cosmetics ingredient it is likely to have been manufactured. 

Lavender essential oil: is renowned for its calming properties, which can help alleviate stress and promote relaxation during menopause.

Rosemary essential oil: is known for its ability to enhance blood circulation and support skin rejuvenation, making it beneficial for mature skin.

Orange essential oil: with its uplifting aroma, can help to reduce anxiety and mood swings often associated with menopause.

Ylang ylang essential oil: is known for its balancing effect on hormones and its ability to maintain skin's moisture, making it ideal for menopausal skin care.
